Technical issues
50% of what? Do you mean emissions will be cut 50% from today’s level?
If vehicle sales are projected to triple by 2050, how come cutting fuel use per kilometre by half doesn’t result in a 1.5 times increase in fuel use?
What are the existing technologies to which you refer?
What is the role of plug-in hybrid and electric cars in all of this?
What exactly do you mean by ‘improvements’ to the internal combustion engine, to after market products and tyres?
Have we all been backing the wrong horse in devoting so much attention and effort to new vehicle technologies, is it effort that should be spent elsewhere?
Level of ambition
Isn’t 2050 rather a long way away?
How will you know if you are on track?
You are not making any suggestions here which might actually slow the growth of the global car fleet – which seems very important - why not?

Why are you working together on this?
The role of industry
What do car manufacturers think of this?
How much will meeting these targets cost the industry?
Can’t the industry just ignore this initiative – what will be in place to force them to meet these targets?
By saying hydrogen fuel cell vehicles ‘aren’t necessary’ won’t this report provide an ideal excuse for industry not to invest in r&d on such new technologies, does it not give them permission to do little or nothing on this?
Wider issues
Do you think Transport will be a big issue in Copenhagen?
What will it take to make this happen – is it a job for politicians?
Won’t the current economic crisis make this much harder?
What is your position on fuel taxes – do you support them or not?
